Aerotel GeoSkeeper – Personal Communicator with Distress Alarm and GPS

Aerotel Medical System has just launch their new SKeeper family, called GeoSkeeper – a “peace of mind” product built for elderly, chronically ill, children or lone workers, as well as their relatives and caregivers. This GeoSkeeper offers an improved level of personal safety beyond existing PERS (Personal Emergency Response System) and traditional social alarm systems.

The GeoSkeeper features an integrated active GPS system, which activate a warning signal when needed, complete with accurate location tracking, and get immediate assistance when and where it’s needed. It also equipped with quad-band GSM/GPRS module and integrated speaker phone, enables receive or make a voice calls to numbers stored in speed dialing buttons.

    Interesting article about an important technological advance. GPS is definitely the wave of the future. We are partial to our own PERS system, but you have a good idea.
