HP Launches EliteBook 8440 and 8540 Notebook PC
HP rolls out the new EliteBook 8440 and 8550 series, features an Intel Core i7 or Core i5 processor, 14-inch LED backlit display for the 8440 and 15.6-inch for the 8540 series, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 500GB hard drive or 256GB Solid State Drive. Both also equipped with DVD SuperMulti burner, support for WiFi, Bluetooth, an optional Mobile Broadband with GPS capability, SD card reader, ExpressCard/54 slot, DisplayPort and eSATA/USB 2.0 combo port.
The 8540w and 8440w comes with NVIDIA Quadro FX 380M graphics with 512MB VRAM, while the 8440p comes with NVIDIA 3100 graphics and 8540p comes with NVIDIA 5400 graphics. For the price, the EliteBook 8440p starts at $979, the 8440w starts at $1425, the 8540p starts at $1299 and the 8540w starts at $1449.
