Sonim launched the new XP3 Sentinel. It features a 176×220 display, a 2 Megapixel camera with flash, an integrated GPS receiver with SiRF InstantFix, FM radio, LED torch light, Bluetooth Man Down sensor and a microSD card slot. This ultra rugged mobile phone is specifically designed to ensure worker’s safety in an isolated or hazardous environment. To support that function, the XP3 comes with Sonim Lone Worker application that uses tri-band GSM/EDGE networks; red emergency button to send a GPS signal and call the Emergency Response Center even when the phone is locked; an amber button to request monitoring and tracking; and a green button to track the start and the end of a shift. Aimed to be used in a hazardous environment, Sonim uses an anti-shock and anti-scratch Gorilla glass for its screen and moulds hardened rubber through dual injection process to its case. The XP3 also waterproof and resistant to salt, fog, humidity, transport shock and thermal shock.
