Zoom released the new R24, a multi-track recorder, an audio interface, a control surface and a pad sampler, all-in-one. As a multi-track recorder, the R24 offers 24-track playback and 8-track simultaneous recording using a 32 GB SD memory card. This gadget has 2.0 USB interface to connect it with other audio devices. As a control surface, the R24 can manage the functions of DAW software such as Cubase LE 5, Logic and Sonar. It offers many audio sample including 24 built-in voices, drum machine function and 400 rhythm patterns. Its built-in voices can be activated using 8 pads and 3 bank keys to assign sounds to each track and create loops.

Toshiba released its new embedded NAND flash memory module, the THGBM2T0DBFBAIF. It has up to 128GB memory, the highest capacity available at the market, that can store up to 2,222 hours of music at a 128Kbps bit rate, 16.6 hours of full spec high definition video and 38.4 hours of standard definition video. This flash memory also offers sixteen 64Gbit (equal to 8GB) NAND chips fabricated with leading-edge 32nm process technology. Housed in a small FBGA package (17 x 22 x 1.4mm),this flash memory is suitable for portable devices, such as smartphone, tablet, digital camcorder, etc. It also comes with the JEDEC e-MMC V4.4 compliant interface that handles essential functions, such as writing block management, error correction and driver software.
