Asus introduced the new Eee Pad series slate-style tablet PC which comes with two models, the Eee Pad EP121 (12-inch) and the Eee Pad EP101TC (10-inch). The first one comes with Intel CULV Core 2 Duo processor, runs on Windows 7 Home premium, can be functioned as multimedia player, e-Reader device, compact PC and internet device. For all of that ability, Asus Eee Pad embed two convenient modes of character input-an embedded virtual keyboard and a special docking station-cum-keyboard, and powered by battery which can lasts up to 10 hours of use.

Panasonic rolled out the Toughbook C1 which is powered by Intel Core i5-520M 2.4GHz processor, 12.1-inch LED-backlight display with multitouch + digitizer screen or gloved multitouch screen that allows finger and gesture inputs. It also gets 2GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive storage, supports Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n and an optional integrated Gobi2000 module for WWAN mobile broadband, and an optional WiMAX connectivity. Other features includes built-in dual array microphone and optional webcam and an optional fingerprint reader and SmartCard reader. Scheduled to be released in June 2010 with an asking price $2,499. Lenovo just released the new ThinkPad X201 series, the X201, X201s and the X201t tablet PC. All of these ThinkPad series is powered by an Intel Core i5/i7 processor, a 12.1-inch LCD display for the X201 and X201s, while the X201t comes with a 12.1-inch capacitive multitouch screen with a touch-based hardware interface and Lenovo SimpleTap navigation application as well as option for pen input.
